Open Programme
Robust Self-Leadership – an open training programme with Karin Otterbjörk
Why this training?
Please note: this programme is conducted in Swedish.
Today's working life demands speed, adaptability and personal responsibility. For many, that means greater freedom – but also a heavier load. Fewer clear boundaries, more decisions to make on your own, and a sense of responsibility that doesn't always end when the workday does.
At the same time, more and more organisations are structured around a clear expectation that employees and leaders can largely lead themselves – that we prioritise wisely, solve challenges, contribute to well-functioning collaboration, and maintain both direction and energy, even when things are unclear, under pressure, or in flux.
This is where self-leadership becomes crucial. Not as a matter of personality, and not as yet another demand to "pull yourself together" – but as a skill that can be trained. A skill that's about understanding yourself, standing firm through setbacks, making better everyday decisions, and acting in ways that are sustainable over time.
This training programme is for anyone who wants to develop exactly that. Regardless of role or title, with one thing in common: a willingness to take responsibility for how you lead yourself in today's working life – without losing your energy or direction, or compromising on what truly matters.
Programme structure
1. Digital kick-off, 4 November, 15:00–16:30
We go through some of the fundamentals of self-leadership to create a shared platform ahead of our in-person sessions.
2. In-person sessions, 10–11 November
Experience-based, hands-on training and planning to build a robust self-leadership that helps you handle the pressure of today's working life.
- Day 1: Building inner stability
We work with the obstacles and resources we need to reach our goals. - Day 2: Concrete habits and behaviours for a robust self-leader
We work on implementing concrete behaviours that build resilience in today's working life.
3. Digital follow-up, 9 December, 15:00–16:30
We review what we've learned and share experiences, successes and challenges.
4. One-on-one coaching with Karin, 1 hour
Time to be agreed individually.
What you'll gain
During the programme, you'll work hands-on to develop a form of self-leadership that holds up – even in a working life defined by high pace, demands, change and ambiguity. You'll strengthen your ability to:
- Create clear direction in everyday life – even when things aren't fully settled
- Understand what truly matters to you and let it guide your choices
- Face setbacks, pressure and uncertainty without losing your footing
- Identify the internal and external triggers that affect your behaviour – and reclaim your room to act
- Prioritise and make decisions that are sustainable over time
- Plan and structure your workday around energy, focus and reality
- Practise "good enough" – finishing, letting go, and moving on
- Build habits for recovery and focus in the middle of the workday
- Turn self-leadership into concrete behaviours in your everyday work
The programme is based on Karin's book Palla Trycket – leading yourself and others to sustainable self-leadership.
